WHAT IS MINDFUL MOVEMENT?

 

Do you want to explore mindfulness and also do some gentle, physical movement at the same time?

​

We will move and mobilise the joints, gently stretching and lengthening muscles of the body, and you may notice your breathing and heart-rate increase slightly, but this is not an exercise class and you do not need a minimum level of fitness to join.

FREE ONLINE DROP-IN SESSIONS: Wednesdays at 12:30pm

Sessions last about 30 minutes and include a series of gentle movements, breath-work and simple mindfulness practices, guided by a friendly and professional teacher. You are encouraged to work within your comfort zone, exploring sensations and movements in the body, and the importance of self-care is emphasised throughout.

The sessions are suitable for beginners to mindfulness as well as more experienced practitioners, and all fitness levels are welcome as the movements are gentle.

​

Sessions are delivered online via Zoom, and once you have registered, you'll be sent a link that you can use each week to join the sessions.  You do not need to book in advance.

The sessions are offered free, but should you wish to make a voluntary contribution towards keeping the sessions going then that is of course welcome.  You can do so via the PayPal link:

You may find it useful to have an upright chair (such as a dining chair) nearby for seated movements, and a yoga mat or towel for lying on for floor-based movements, as well as a small cushion.  If you have any particular mobility restrictions, injuries or areas of pain, you are still very welcome to join, but it would be helpful if you got in touch beforehand to let me know so that I can suggest alternative movements that may be more suitable for you.
